It’s baaack. The 3rd Annual 48 hour Book Challenge as led by Mother Reader has been set to occur the weekend of June 6-8, 2008. The rules are pretty easily understood and can be found on her blog. Go there and sign up.
Basically to participate in the 48 hour book challenge, you read books written for grades 5 through adult, write reviews, and post them on your blog. THERE ARE PRIZES.
Of course, you announce your official starting & ending time with your last post detailing how many books you read, how many hours you spent & all the really interesting good stuff that happened along the way.
For example, Did you continue to read when your son was in the ER after spraining knee, ankle, and foot trying to do skateboard tricks on a ramp when he’d never been on a skateboard before? (Ask me about my Tuesday this week)
If you don’t have a blog but still want to participate, the bloggers of the world will help out. You are always welcome to post your reviews in comments here at SLJ or email them to me and I’ll post them during that time.
Let me know here if you would be interested in participating in a 24 hour picture book blogging marathon this summer before school starts and I’ll work to arrange this for late July.
