Michelle, part of my problem with Beck is I read Shiver at the same time a lot of Elizabeth Smart/ Jaycee Dugard stories were in the news and, while Beck is a great character, it really colored my reading.

Brenda, YAY. And I love the title! Hmmm.....

Bestbook, green font? I have to get to the bookstore!

I agree about the parents. I loved Linger as well, enough that I think I have to buy the new release to have the green font that the ARC doesn't have.

The third book in the series will be Forever. Saw her Tuesday at a launch for Linger in Williamsburg, VA. Very charming and funny.

This is a book that will likely make my "best of" list for the year. I liked it even more than Shiver and I loved that. I was glad to see the story progress in the way it did (though the end wasn't entirely unsuspected) and though it did so in a way that wasn't entirely repetitive of the first novel. The addition of Cole and Isabel was great for me, I enjoyed them for the opposite view points of the same situation and, really, I think the book needed the snark and harder edge somewhere to even out the shcmoopiness that Grace and Sam's all encompassing love could sometimes bring with it.

As for Beck, I get what you're saying. I'm kinda just meh on him anyway.
