Book bloggers love their libraries. We borrow books; we donate books.

From their website: ”PAYA is a coalition of Pennsylvania’s young adult authors, bloggers, librarians, readers, and other book-lovers. Our mission is two-fold: To share the love we have for young adult literature with others in our state; To raise money to support Pennsylvania’s libraries, with a focus on helping build Young Adult library collections and Young Adult services.”
The 1st Annual 2010 PAYA Festival is Saturday, August 21st, 1pm-3pm at the Center for Performing and Fine Arts in West Chester, PA. Eighteen authors will be signing books; there are workshops; raffles; and, of course, a book sale. Full details are at the PAYA website.
PAYA began last October and ran auctions in October and April to benefit Pennsylvania libraries. Another initiative by PaYA is library-specific book drives.
While I’m just over in New Jersey, this is smack-dab in the middle of my vacation and I will be in North Carolina. I’m not attending, but if you do, please report back about this great event.
