The Subterranean Special YA Issue is here! Subterranean publishes horror, suspense, and dark mystery (also known as all the genres that make Liz happy.) You may recognize the publisher from the not-for-children
picture book, The Adventures of the Princess and Mr. Whiffle. (Which, by the way, my ten year old niece loved.)
This special issue was guest edited by Gwenda Bond, and the table of contents is pretty sweet. Malinda Lo, Kelly Link, and Sarah Rees Brennan are just to a few of the writers whose stories are included.
Gwenda’s introduction and some of the stories are up and available to read; as Gwenda explains, new stories will be added weekly until the issue is complete.

This looks like it’s going to be amazing. I’m not much for horror but could get into the suspense and fantasy pieces. I’ll have to remember when it’s published this summer.
