Carol, the issues of power are fascinating as are the issues of choice and whether one can change.

Kelly, let me know what you think of it.

Michelle, it was terrific! And agreed about the romance aspect.

I was surprised how much I liked this book. I knew it would be good but I found it to be much more deep and compelling than I imagined it would have been. Many times people cling to the romantic portions of these types of stories but I thought how Gratton made it part of the overall plot but not THE plot was fantastic. Also really fantastic characters. I'm excited there will be a companion.

WOO! I just bought my own copy of this book today. I'm glad to hear you liked it - not only because it's near the top of my TBR pile, but also because I love Tess!

This sounds interesting. I love that this book explores the concept of power and each person's choice in how they use it.
