Malinda, so funny that we all thought the same author! And yes, Elizabeth Peters, also. Laura, I'll have to reread Duncan (and if I recall, she just got some great new covers for reissues?). While Duncan does great supernatural themes, her books didn't strike me (in my memory) as romance even though there usually are romantic elements. I'll have to take a reread Leila, same here, quite excited at the titles that are Gothic.
