Plus, it's got a fairly diverse cast -- for example, the brother with Downs, who has his own full, complete storylines. Lindsay, yes, Ricky and Amy have gotten together! It's so bizarre! And they are talking about marriage, even if down the ride. Honestly, I have never met teenagers as marriage obsessed as this crew is. Jen, there is just something about the show. I really do. It's like crack in that it was so hard to quit. I stopped watching this show last year, but every now and then I find myself tuning back in without thinking about it. The main reason I hate this show is Amy. Liz, you are spot on with how horrible she is. I don't know if that's just the way she's written or because of how the actress plays it. How anyone continues to like her is beyond me. How old is she now? I saw a commercial that made it look like Amy and John were going to move in with Ricky. Has that happened? I don't like Amy's family either, but maybe if they got rid of her they'd be more likeable. Putting up with Amy has to be taxing and it is probably making them cranky. I want to like this show. We are tv twins, I think. I'm about 14 episodes behind right now, but I agree with your assessment. Sometimes the "talk, talk, talk" gets annoying, but I find the show oddly compelling anyway.
