Melissa, I agree, Pearce’s take is original for these tales. I’ve read Hansel & Gretel retellings before, but not like this.

Nina, Pearce has had some terrific covers. I can’t wait to see what they do with the next book.

sylvia, oh, how nice to hear the audiobook was a good match for accents, etc.

Just finished the audiobook for Sisters Red and I totally LOVED it. I am from Georgia as is Pearce and the readers got our accents, country and otherwise, spot on.
The story is absolutely terrifying but a wonderful listen.
Hope the new one is as good as S.R.

I really liked Sisters Red and have been eagerly anticipating this one. I’m likely to gobble it up right when it releases. I can’t believe it’s still a week away!

Sounds fascinating. I do like what Pearce does with fairy tales; they’re fresh and unique and modern while still maintaining a tie to the original. And from what you say, I’m quite interested with the how the names relate to the story.
