CLM, because I didn't read this as historical fiction, but fantasy, that didn't bother me at all. You've given me a great idea for a future post, tho, because it's interesting, how much of a mash-up different readers will or won't tolerate. Digger worked for me, because I saw her as having some street smarts but her knowledge was limited to her prior environment. Curse does remain my favorite: so rich and detailed! But I liked this series, also.

I liked this a lot but felt there were some jarring anachronistic moments - Renaissance-ish setting but too much colloquial language. Also, Digger was oddly clueless at times. I was disappointed by the second book (plot poorly developed) but look forward to the third. Overall, I felt Curse was a masterpiece and this series is less original.

Leila, but how do you really feel?

Sondy, LIAR'S MOON is why I read this book; I was so intrigued with a fantasy/mystery mash up! My review is coming in a couple weeks, and YES, there better be a third book.

I loved this! Have you read LIAR'S MOON yet? I didn't like it quite as well (but only a smidgeon less, still really really good), but it's definitely setting us up for yet a third book.
