Cheshire v Chime
School Library Journal Battle of the Books, Round 1, Match 3. The Cheshire Cheese Cat v Chime. Judge: Sy Montgomery
Well, buy me a cupcake and call me Aunt Martha, but I did not see that coming. I loved Chime but knew it wasn’t for everyone. I am happy as can be that Montgomery shares the love for this terrific book.
As Montgomery explains, “Billingsley casts a spell more powerful than any witch.”
But that’s not why Montgomery chose Chime. She was equally dazzled by The Cheshire Cheese Cat.. No, Montgomery ruined my brackets because she tossed a coin.
A coin.
The good news is, yay Chime!
