Talking 2012 Books
Believe it or not, Steve Thomas of Circulating Ideas was willing to have Kelly Jensen and I back on his show following the epic podcast of last July!
Kelly and I talk about reading and some of our favorite books of 2012, as well as what we’re looking forward to in 2013. So go on over to Circulating Ideas to hear us, along with the other librarians in podcast: Kristi Chadwick; Anna Mickelsen: Sarah Statz Cords and Becky Spratford.
So, what are the books I mentioned?
I spoke about my top five books of 2012, which I wrote about in my guest post over at The Book Smugglers:
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Froi of the Exiles (The Lumatere Chronicles) by Melina Marchetta
Long Lankin by Lindsey Barraclough
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I also spoke about some of my other favorite books of 2012 (alas, only a couple!)
The FitzOsbornes at War by Michelle Cooper
The Opposite of Hallelujah by Anna Jarzab
And the 2013 books I’m looking forward to are
Game by Barry Lyga (sequel to I Hunt Killers, above)
Kiki Strike: The Darkness Dwellers by Kirsten Miller (the third Kiki Strike book)
Quintana of Charyn by Melina Marchetta (sequel to Froi of the Exiles, above)
Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff
