2014 Judge: Sheila Turnage

Sheila Turnage lives on a farm in North Carolina with her husband, their finicky dog, a dozen chickens and a flock of hysterical guineas. Her first, Three Times Lucky, features Miss Moses LoBeau and Dale Earnhardt Johnson III. It won a Newbery Honor and made the New York Times Bestsellers List. Mo and Dale’s second mystery, The Ghosts of Tupelo Landing, has just come out and has received four starred reviews.
