The Picks:

Delicates TP – Oni Press presents the sequel to Brenna Thummler’s Sheets. Marjorie Glatt’s life changed when she discovered ghosts hiding in her family’s laundromat and befriended Wendell, the ghost of a young boy. When Marjorie gets accepted by the popular kids at school, she insists on keeping Wendell’s ghost identity a secret, making him feel even more invisible than he already is. Eliza Duncan is an avid photographer who wants to find and photograph a ghost. The other kids at school label her as different, and she begins to feel like a ghost herself. Marjorie soon learns there is a price to pay for being accepted by the popular kids. She must decide if it’s worth losing Wendell as a friend and take partial responsibility for the bullying Eliza endures. Thummler presents another powerful story, this time about fitting in, the importance of feeling seen, and most of all, bringing light to those asking for help when all seems dark.

Agent 9 Volume 1 Flood-A-Geddon GN – Razorbill, an imprint of Penguin Random House, debuts a new middle grade graphic novel series. Agent 9 is one of the best operatives at the Super-Secret Spy Service, whose mission is to keep the world safe from maniacal villains. She is also on probation due to the collateral damage she inflicts while completing her missions. So when the bumbling supervillain King Crab manages to take over S4 headquarters, it is up to Nine to stop him and his diabolical plan to melt the polar ice caps and build a massive water park. Agent 9 must overcome her impulsive behavior if she is to prove herself and save the world from a complete flood-a-geddon! Filled with plenty of action and humor, this new series will appeal to middle-grade students looking for fun and adventure.
