{"id":12120,"date":"2014-01-15T15:34:48","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T20:34:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.slj.com\/neverendingsearch\/?p=12120"},"modified":"2014-01-15T15:34:48","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T20:34:48","slug":"ted-ed-clubs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.slj.com\/neverendingsearch\/2014\/01\/15\/ted-ed-clubs\/","title":{"rendered":"TEDEd Clubs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thinking about you can inspire the young people you teach to think more deeply and communicate more powerfully?<br \/>\nWondering how you can provide kids space and time to pursue their passions and share their voices?<br \/>\nInterested in sponsoring a club that will truly make a difference in children&#8217;s lives?\u00a0 That may encourage them to make a difference in the world?<br \/>\nThe newly launched <a href=\"http:\/\/ed.ted.com\/clubs\">TEDEd Clubs<\/a> may be just what you are looking for.<br \/>\nThe mission of <a href=\"http:\/\/ed.ted.com\/clubs\">TEDEd Clubs<\/a> is to <em>celebrate the best ideas of young people around the world<\/em>.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/ed.ted.com\/clubs\/applications\/new\">Apply<\/a> to be a club facilitator.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll be invited to participate in a video call to ask questions, meet other potential facilitators, and to share ideas.<br \/>\nOnce approved you&#8217;ll have access to the free tools that will guide you through setting up a club.\u00a0 A Facilitator&#8217;s Guidebook outlines thirteen suggested meetings, designed to help club members develop presentation literacy skills and to prepare them to deliver their first TED-style\u00a0talks.<br \/>\nApproved facilitators may nominate the presentations of their club members to be featured on TEDEd and for the annual TED Youth Conference.<br \/>\nThis is a perfect opportunity for TL leadership.\u00a0 Beginning a\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/ed.ted.com\/clubs\">TEDEd Club<\/a> would allow you to connect with learners in deep meaningful ways and to help them develop truly authentic skills that will last a lifetime.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thinking about you can inspire the young people you teach to think more deeply and communicate more powerfully?
