Beyond the Latest Buzz
Nova Ren Suma is the author of one of my favorite books from last year, Imaginary Girls. When she asked me to be part of of her latest blog series, Beyond the Latest Buzz, I couldn’t say yes quick enough.
As explained at her blog, Distraction No. 99, for this series Nova “asked YA and children’s librarians and book bloggers to share some books that they think deserve more attention.” As you’ll see from my post, which goes up December 13, I took the idea and ran with it, and went back to last year, and some years past, in picking titles.

Part of the fun of a series like this is seeing what other people have picked. Will I pat myself on the back, saying “read it,” or add to my ever-growing pile of books to read?
Jennifer Hubert Swan of Reading Rants is the first guest poster; she’s selected . . . well, all I’ll say is I’m relieved that I read both of them!
