Spring Cleaning!
So, Spring Cleaning!
I’m not the only one who thinks of online cleaning and organizing when springtime comes; this past weekend was Bloggiesta, which is about “ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog.”
So, what am I doing? I’m organizing posts, trying to get myself back into a good rhythm and schedule. I like having a mix of planned posts, such as the Flashbacks that I do to prior reviews, and more spontaneous posts, such as this one influenced by what’s currently going on.

My aim continues to be to have at least two book reviews a week; sometimes I may do more, or I may do less. For example, with all the SLJ BoB posts it makes sense to just do one review a week.
I’ve been a bit behind in keeping up with my Pinterest Boards, so I hope to get those up-to-date and stay up-to-date with them.
Google Reader is the main way I keep up on blog reading, and I know others also use it. It’s going to be shut down on July 1, so I have to find a new way to keep up on blog reading. Any suggestions, let me know! I want something where I can read/search the blogs I read. When I look to find other reviews of books I read, Google Reader is the first place I search. So, that search function matters. I also read on the iPad and my iPhone, so there’s that, also.
I haven’t paid much attention to my Facebook account; I’ve seen what other people have done, so am considering making it either all personal/people I know with a separate one that is more professional, or just one that is more people I know. I also don’t have a webpage for professional use, and am toying with having one made: a place to keep my resume and contact information and such.
As for reading! I’ve been a bit haphazard lately in putting together my “what to read next” pile, as well as deciding what is or isn’t in the pile. I want to be a bit more conscious and knowing and aware of what I’m reading, to ensure I’m reading a real mix of titles.
So — what types of online Spring Cleaning do you do? Any suggestions for my “to do” list?
