Editor Wes Adams talks Gary Paulsen
COLBY: Gary Paulsen’s Hatchet was that “one book” for me as a child. It continues to rock the world of so many readers in my classroom, and I am forever grateful to Gary and his work. Learning of his passing a couple of weeks ago was really hard.
Travis and I talked about rerunning my conversation with Gary here on the The Yarn, but we felt weird not including anything new in the episode. I reached out to Gary’s publisher to see if anyone there would be up for chatting with me about Gary. They put me in contact with his editor Wes Adams. Wes and I had a lovely conversation about someone that meant a lot to both of us.
