Do today’s students need to be empowered learners, knowledge constructors, innovative designers? Should they be computational thinkers and global collaborators?
ISTE seeks your input on the first draft of its new Standards for Students.
The draft is the result of feedback from hundreds of educators who participated in refresh conversations since the birth of the project in June. (I was happy to be able to participate in that first one.)
Inspired by the focus on student voice and choice in the feedback, ISTE also seeks feedback from your students and hopes that many of us will decide to lead a refresh session with our students. If you’re interested in hosting a student session contact Sarah Stoeckl, ISTE’s senior project manager for the Standards Department.
You can also help by:
- Reading the draft of the student standards and completing this survey
- Letting ISTE know about the resources you’d need to understand and implement the standards by filling out this survey.
- Sharing how you, your school or your district are using the standards. Your story just might be published.
