KidLitosphere Central
I discovered KidLitosphere Central: The society of bloggers in children’s and young adult literature today (thanks to a tweet by Alice Yucht). The site’s goal is to: to provide a passage to the wonderful variety of resources available from the society of bloggers in children’s and young adult literature.
What’s here?
- A News Blog shares news in the area of children’s literature, events from around the blogging community, and announcements about KidLitosphere happenings. Primarily focused on literary news, special events, useful articles, and interesting posts from other blogs, it does not include reviews, interviews, or opinions.
- The Cybils, awards given by children’s and young adult book bloggers for books with both literary merit and kid appeal. The awards are now in their third year and the site links to the short list by genre.
- A Resource page links to events, contests, challenges, lists, reviews, and interviews
- The Members page links to an array of kidlit-related blogs, including an extensive list of author and illustrator blogs.
This promises to be a wonderful portal! I’ve already added the links to BookLeads. You’re going to want to link to a whole bunch of these resources too.
