Our new orientation video

Catherine and Greg just delivered the orientation video I asked them to produce for next year’s 9th graders.  Okay, so they didn’t get in all the details, and the focus is a little different from the original concept, but OMG, what fun!  And isn’t Chad a rising star?  I love it!

  1. Catherine and Greg, you have done a great job. LOL I love your sense of humour!
Libraries must be seen as a place that people can feel comfortable in as they learn and you showed that clearly.! Your library looks most inviting and with kids like you there, it must be ” the place to be” I feel like I would know where to go and get “most” things Superb #orientation video 🙂

Saw the twitter mention so just had to come visit to check out the new vid… very impressive! Your library looks like a fabulous learning centre with everything you’ll need to help a new batch of students feel at home! So much bigger than our libraries here in Sydney but I guess your schools are a LOT bigger too.
Hope you have a great summer break and return refreshed for the start of a new school year! We’re in the middle of second term, almost the middle of our school year, and winter has arrived… all a bit different down under!
Regards, Mrs Deb Hogg (GRC Penshurst Girls Campus, NSW, Australia)

Am lovin’ it Joyce. You (and Greg and Catherine) have inspired me to get some students to do something like this for our place. Please tell them they are now famous in Sydney! And thanks so much for sharing this. Cheers.

  4. Love this video! It is funny and informative, showcasing the awesomeness of your program. The student star, Chad, is charming and shows true comedic talent. Great model, Joyce! And congratulations to all students who produced this video. Great job!

  5. Great video – combines so many elements:- information, entertainment, humour etc I am also going to show this to my students and see what they can produce. Did the movie take long to make? How much editing had to be completed? Was a storyboard created first? Thanks for sharing and great work!
