Samsung’s SUPERHERO Video Competition
You and your students can vote for your favorite historical character portrayal from among 10 finalists in the Samsung Superhero Video Competition. (All 519 videos can be seen on Samsung’s Superhero YouTube Channel.)
Any K-12 student living in the U.S. or a Federal Territory may enter the enter the 2012 by submitting a 1-3 minute video portraying a historical character. Entries are judged on presentation, performance, and character and content accuracy. (I wish credits/documentation were considered in the criteria!)

The winter 2012 deadline is March 16th; spring competition entries are due June 15, 2012; autumn entries are due November 16, 2012. The student winner receives $500 and a SAMCAM 860 document camera for their class.
Consider the Samsung competition as an audience for your own student projects.
But whether or not your learners submit their videos, you’ll find models for biography products, student research and video strategies to analyze and critique, and student-produced content to integrate into curriculum.
