Need a little retooling of your search skills? Want to learn some new strategies for teaching search?
The folks at the Google booth here at ISTE, just led me to their new free online searching course. Registration for Power Searching with Google, a short course on becoming a great internet searcher opens today.
The MOOC (massive open online course) begins on July 10th and will engage a large international cohort in learning techniques for solving everyday problems. Lessons will be released daily and students may take them at their convenience during a two-week window.
The course features:
- Six 50-minute classes.
- Interactive activities to practice new skills.
- Opportunities to connect with others using Google Groups, Google+, and Hangouts on Air.
- Upon passing the post-course assessment, a printable Certificate of Completion will be emailed to you.
