PBS KIDS Video App
Chock full of quality children’s programs, the newly updated PBS KIDS Video App is an absolute no-brainer download for families, and for preschool and primary classrooms and libraries.
The app is free, easy to navigate and available for both iOS (iPads & iPhones) and Android.
The attractive, kid-friendly interface offers immediate access to such series as:
- Curious George
- Arthur
- Sesame Street
- The Electric Company
- Bob the Builder
- The Cat in the Hat
- Martha Speaks
- Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood
- Thomas & Friends
- Clifford The Big Red Dog
- Design Squad Global
- Dinosaur Train, and much more!
New content is added each week. (Check out the Weekly Pick.)
Kids use the vertical, visual menu on the right to select shows. Favorited shows appear at the top of the shows list. Swipe the menu to the left to see long lists of available episodes with their lengths in minutes.
This is a wonderful app to share with parents and perfect enriching entertainment for summer family travel anywhere with an available 3G or WiFi connection.
The Parents’ Information bar on the bottom left of the screen offers the ability to:
- access your local PBS station TV schedule.
- add shows to a child’s favorites list.
- stream videos to your television using Chromecast
- learn more about a series
- download related PBS KIDS apps
- buy shows from iTunes or PBS KIDS Shop
Download the app, or visit the YouTube Channel:
Note: PBS KIDS Video includes relatively unobtrusive mentions of its corporate sponsors–Beaches, Party City and UnitedHealthcare, often at the beginning of full-length episodes.
