Free tech tutorials: TeacherTrainingVideos
In her tweet this morning, Judy O’Connell pointed to an impressive collection of free Web tutorials. Teacher Training Videos, created by Russell Tannard (using Camtasia screen capture software), cover a variety of new tools for the classroom and are handy for personal catch-up, as well as for helping groups of fellow educators retool. Videos are segmented to allow users to target specific learning needs (and to skip what you already know).
Topics include:
- Easy Podcasting
- Using Audacity
- How to use blogger
- Second Life L1
- Second Life L2
- Simple Mind Mapping Tool
- Make on-line surveys
- All about RSS feeds
- All about YouTube
- Downloading from youTube
- How to use Blackboard
- How to use iTunes to get podCasts
- PowerPoint Basics
- How to create blogs
- How to do better searches on the Internet
- Photoshop basics
- How to use and make Wikis
- How to use Delicious
- Tips and Tricks for Word
- Drawing & Recording sites
And while we’re on the subject of free Web tutorials, don’t forget the wonderfully simple, embeddable, and amusing Common Craft Show videos. The Plain English series uses black and white cut-out images and is quickly becoming a classic in the world of Web 2.0 learning.
