Lovely new ebooks from our government!
With budgets tight, this afternoon’s tweet from America.gov (another to consider following!) may be particularly welcome.
The GPO now offers free ebooks on American life in multiple languages! Among the recently added titles:
- American Popular Music
- Abraham Lincoln: A Legacy of Freedom
- Dreams of Edgar Allan Poe
- Free at Last: The U.S. Civil Rights Movement
- Being Muslim in America
- Sketchbook U.S.A. (Americans at work and play)
You’ll find more titles on literature, the economy, and global challenges. Add them to your pathfinders. I’ve added the homepage to my ebook pathfinder, but the individual titles should be listed in subject pathfinders for them to really be used.
Send the links to the right teachers. Suggest the ebooks via email for reading at home or homework. While you’re visiting America.gov, check out the Student Corner for additional ejournal content of interest to teens.
