The Frugal prom
Kids feel the tough times too. I thought this Springfield idea was worth sharing.
This year, our Student Council and their sponsor Kristin Ward decided to host a prom dress recycling event.
They collected prom dresses from closets all over the community. The Student Council closet is now filled with nearly 100 dresses. On March 18th they will host a fashion show. Students may select dresses with prices ranging from $5 to $25 dollars.
Last week our library study hall volunteers joined the Student Council officers in organizing the dresses and creating a display.
