Google launches Body Browser
On Thursday, Google previewed Google Body Browser, offering what PC Magazine calls a “Google Earth-like experience for the human body.” Now available in Google Labs, the kinda magical 3-D, layered, interactive, high resolution experience allows users to zoom, pan, rotate, the human body, and to visualize its organs, systems, bones, and muscles. And its searchable! This is going to be the best thing ever for teachers and students of biology, anatomy, and health. Make sure you share!
Body Browser will not work with every browser. It worked beautifully on my newly downloaded beta version of Chrome. (The program requires WebGL is enabled by default in Chrome 9 Beta, Chrome 9 Dev Channel, Chrome Canary Build and Firefox 4 beta.)
